Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is an exciting and engaging game with stellar co-operative play and some of the most memorable RE moments since RE4. My wife, Laura, joins me in this stream, and together we take the parts of Claire/Moira, and Barry/Natalia.
"Beneath the ruins of post-apocalyptic Moscow, in the tunnels of the Metro, the remnants of mankind are besieged by deadly threats from outside... and within.
Mutants stalk the catacombs beneath the desolate surface and hunt amidst the poisoned skies above.
But rather than stand united, the station-cities of the Metro are locked in a struggle for the ultimate power, a doomsday device from the military vaults of D6. A civil war is stirring that could wipe humanity from the face of the earth forever.
As Artyom, burdened by guilt but driven by hope, you hold the key to our survival – the last light in our darkest hour..." -Playstation.com
With frustration in Metro 2033 reaching new heights, I've done something I never expected to do - ended an LP before finishing the game. And now, with my wife and I picking up on Resident Evil: Revelations 2, I find myself trying out the new-to-me post-apoc Russia shooter, Metro Last Light. Tonally and atmospherically unmatched in FPS games, but still a little buggy, I'm excited to see where Artyom's story goes after 2033.

Sometimes I like to upload shorter videos that just showcase gameplay, from opening menu to about ten or fifteen minutes in. Those videos become part of my Gaming One Shots playlist. "Narrated by one of the most popular British actors, Sean Bean, Kholat is an exploration adventure game with elements of horror, inspired by a true event known as the Dyatlov Pass incident – a mysterious death of nine Russian hikers, which led to countless, unconfirmed hypotheses. The player will plunge directly into the boundless scenery of the inhospitable Ural Mountains with the task to find out what really happened. In the course of events, you may come across more speculations than expected..." - Playstation.com
A gripping and chilling horror game in the vein of Dear Esther, Kholat takes the real-life, unexplained events of the Dyatlov Pass Incident and explores those with a supernatural bend and a strange and layered narrative. Featuring multiple endings and undeniably gorgeous use of the Unreal 4 Engine, Kholat provided me and my wife with a full evening of fun as we explored this game from start to finish, sans commentary.
"The legendary fighting franchise returns with Street Fighter V! Powered by Unreal Engine 4 technology, stunning visuals depict the next generation of World Warriors in unprecedented detail, while exciting and accessible battle mechanics deliver endless fighting fun that both beginners and veterans can enjoy. Challenge friends online, or compete for fame and glory on the Capcom Pro Tour." - playstation.com
It's here. As a casual fan who hasn't played much Street Fighter since my arcade days with SF2, getting in on the ground floor for SFV is very exciting, even if I'm still a salty noob. Check out my videos and follow my progression as I take the fight online and hone my skills!
"In 2013, the world was devastated by an apocalyptic event, annihilating almost all mankind and turning the earth’s surface into a poisonous wasteland. A handful of survivors took refuge in the depths of the Moscow underground, and human civilization entered a new Dark Age.
The year is 2033. An entire generation has been born and raised underground, and their besieged Metro Station Cities struggle for survival, both with each other and the mutant horrors that await outside." - Playstation.com
A return to a classic for me, Metro 2033 is a game I've beaten once before, with the help of some friends, and I'm excited to bring a full LP to you all for your viewing pleasure. Drawing on heavy inspiration from the science fiction novel of the same title, as well as the classic Roadside Picnic which I have mentioned many times before in various blog posts, Metro 2033 is a tense and gritty experience where every bullet counts.
"Submerged is a third-person combat-free game in which you explore a mysterious flooded city and discover the beauty of desolation in vast outdoor environments. You take on the role of Miku, a young girl who has brought her wounded brother to the city in their small fishing boat." - playstation.com
I wanted to do something a bit different after my Alien Isolation LP, and the casual, exploratory, and little-covered game 'Sumberged' seems to fit that bill. Focusing on open-world exploration and light platforming, the game tells an interesting story of a young woman and her dying younger brother. And what's even more interesting is that this story is entirely conveyed without dialogue or written exposition. Expect a full review when this LP is finished.
"Discover the true meaning of fear in Alien: Isolation, a survival horror set in an atmosphere of constant dread and mortal danger." - playstation.com
